How it works
The calculator determines total fuel needed from the trip distance and your vehicle's consumption rate, then multiplies by the fuel price. The formula is: Cost = (Distance ÷ 100) × Efficiency × Fuel Price.
For round trips, the distance is doubled before the calculation. This gives you a reliable estimate for budgeting road trips, daily commutes, or delivery routes.
Practical example
A 180 km round trip (360 km total) in a car that uses 7.4 L/100 km at 1.55 per liter: (360 ÷ 100) × 7.4 × 1.55 = 41.29.
A one-way trip of the same distance would cost half: 20.65. Knowing this helps you compare driving costs against train or bus tickets.
